Our Business Sectors
01.
Real Estate Law
Real estate sales' contracts can be lengthy and complicated, often containing provisions with important legal consequences that are not always easily understood. The standard TREC contract is used in most residential sales of single family homes in Texas, but many buyers and sellers, and even their real estate agents, do not understand the legal significance of every provision contained in the standard form agreement. We take pride in our ability to advise and assist our clients in real estate transactions, drafting contracts that clearly state the parties’ agreements and intentions, and helping our clients understand the meaning and effect of each provision of the contract under consideration.
02.
Business Law
If you are considering starting a new company and creating a new entity, you want an experienced, skilled and knowledgeable attorney to help you choose the best legal structure for your new business.
Our firm helps aspiring business owners turn ideas into viable business opportunities by carefully examining your business and objectives, and recommending the structure that best protects your interests. We accomplish this by advising clients on entity selection, registering your business with the Texas secretary of state’s office, and drafting incorporating documents.
03.
Estate Planning
A will is a testamentary instrument, meaning a document that directs how and to whom the proceeds of one’s estate should be distributed to at the time of one’s death. Once you pass, your will is quickly admitted to probate and your executor is appointed. Unfortunately, many people don't think they need to draft a will in Texas until it’s too late.
Texas estates without a will are called intestate, the proceeds of which pass through the court process known as Administration. Not only is this process complex and frustrating, but it is also timely and costly.
Drafting a will is the simplest, cheapest, and easiest way to transfer one’s estate to their heirs and avoid these unnecessary additional costs. If you want to be sure that your estate is properly distributed and that your loved ones are well cared for after you're gone, our firm can help you to draft an unambiguous will today.
